IMPORTANT: YOU ARE RELEASED FROM GUILD ONLY EVENTS FOR 25 MANS UNTIL WE GET MORE PARTICIPATION. OFFICERS MAY PLAN 25 MAN RAIDS SO LONG AS THE MAJORITY OF PLAYERS ARE EPIC WIPE MEMBERS.

New Ranks will follow gear level. Guild Points will be awarded for participating in events. Lack of guild points will = demotion. If you get demoted to deserter, you will be kicked out of the guild after one month. Alts are safe, make sure they are marked.

THIS IS NOT A PERFECT SYSTEM, but we gotta start somewhere, this will make it easier to pick the right people for the right raids, though some sub levels will still get invited to upper tier raids.

Officer - based on leadership abilities and Elite level. Expected to take the reigns of Raid events should something go wrong with the event creator.

The rest of the ranks are based on gear level. The gear level is derived from your best PVE Gear score.
You can audit your character at http://be.imba.hu.
Choose your Realm (US) Server (Anub'Arak) and enter your name.
This is a great way to see where you should gear up.

Gear Ranks and what you should be raiding are as follows, obviously we are shorthanded at the moment, it would be wise to jump in lower ranked raids and run people for GUild Points once in awhile:

Elite (400+ = Maly 25, Ulduar 10/25)
Berzerker (325-400 = Nax 25, Sarth 25, Arch 25, Maly 10)
Raider (225-325 = Nax 10, Sarth 10, Arch 10)
Hero (below 225 = heroics)
Conscript (Sub 80's not marked as alts please level up ASAP)
Alt (Alts of mains in the guild, mains NOT in the guild may get booted in the future)
Deserter (You have one month to get your participation via Guild Points in order or you get kicked. For the moment Guild Participation of 0 or negative after one month = deserter status)

ALTS ARE SAFE AT THE MOMENT, SO MARK THEM. Anyone offline for more then 3 months = Automatic Kick. If you rank up in gear level, inform an officer to re-audit.

Guild Points - You are given Guild Points for participation in Guild events. If an officer or the guildmaster does not run the event and assign points, it is your duty to mail them the event your guildies participated in, such as running an instance or Heroic and tell them who was a part of it so they can assign them points.

YOU GET NEGATIVE POINTS IF YOU SIGN UP FOR A RAID AND DO NOT SHOW. Special circumstances will be evaluated by officers, so be certain to be available when you sign up. Officers will assign Guild Points even if the Raid collapses if you show up ON TIME. End of the month check with Zero or Negative Points = demotion to deserter. If it does not rise one month after you get kicked from the guild.

Next Up: Automatic Raids will be assigned specific days of the week. More information will follow, stay tuned...

New 3.1 Mount Macro

have u been ever been annoyed by the fact that in Dalaran the traditional Mount Macro's didn't work - here an updated version i found .... enjoy:

Replace ("MOUNT",1) with a ground mount, and ("MOUNT",8") with a flying mount. To find your mount number, open your mounts tab and count from left-to0right, top-to-bottom. (eg: The top-left mount on the first page is 1, the bottom-right mount on the first page is 12)
This macro produces no errors and will not start re-casting a mount if you are already mounted.

Phase One

You want to be getting his health to below 50% FAST. Assign roughtly 3 minutes for this phase and nuke him hard. The tank must move around the edge of the inner circle to the oposite side to where the sparks appear and float in. The DK then Death Grips any that are not on course to the middle of the platform, they are then fixed in place (Mage frost nova or chains of ice from the DK) and killed in the centre of the platform. You need the 2 buff spark to buff your damage ebnough to get this phase done in enought time.

Get your warlocks to DOT up the boss and you will get him to about 44% at the start of Phase 2 which helps for the final phase!

Phase Two

Again, you want to be passing this phase in around 3 minutes also. It's simple, Just get everyone to stay onside the magis domes as they mitigate the damage received. There will be riders on disks and you need to kill the ones near the ground fast. As they die they drop disks and these are to be used by your melee. We had the retribution paladin, fury Warrior and DK take the disks and once all the ground adds were dead the Prot paladin also went on a disk. Fly around and focus nuke the other 3 guys on the disks. Once dead Phase 3 starts!

The raid continues to run around under the magic zones through out this fight and pop mana gems/potions / inervate if needed as in Phase 3 you will fly a drake and mana is not required.

Phase 3

The ground collapses and you all fall onto a drake and then you have to finish Malygos off. We had everyone doing these rotations on the drakes.

8 people dpsing pressing 1,1,1,1,1,5 and repeat (never press 5 unless you have 50 energy as if you are targeted by Malygos you must press 5 and shield yourself from the attack. You must also have 1 damaging attack on Malygos for the shield to work.) If he targets you press 5 and don't get killed!
2 people healing casting 3 on the drakes that need healing (It's the same as Rejuvenation that resto druids cast) but will stack up to 5 times healing more each time. If you need to heal more people press 4 which is Life burst. This is an arcane explosion but it heals as apposed to do damage. So find somone needing a heal and stack 5 heals on them and then press 4 IF the raid need heals. Again, same as the dps'ers, keep your energy up over 50 if you press 4 (life Burst) so you always have the shield available if Malygos targets you.

If all goes well malygose dies and you can loot the chest floating in the sky!

Key points for phase 3!

Alway fly as a group. EVERYONE must stay together and we managed this by strafing aroung Malygos always to the right. This allows the healers to use Life burst which heals everyone as the whole raid is in range.
ALWAYS KEEP 50 ebergy before you cast your big attack as this will then leave you with 25 energy - as no energy = dead if targeted.
You need around 3 minutes to kill him in Phase 3.
If you use macros, check your UI dosn't change when mounted on a pet! AIf it does ALL your bars disappear which is a pain xD

Watch the timer also as although there is flexibility on these 3 minutes per phase its a good marker and its better to wipe and try again if you are taking too long in Phase 1 as its not possible to kill him if you fall too far behind the schedule.

Malygos - First wipes on 10 man

Last night a brave group of 10 Raiders of the EpicWipe tried the impossible - Challenging Malygos in his lair up in the Eye of Eternity.

This is easily the hardest fight, but also fun since a lot of different elements of previous encounters are involved in the 3 Phases of this Battle.

2nd Naxx group started successfully - rules for successful raiding !

Hi,

last night the 2nd Naxx group successfully cleared the Spiders Quarter.

Some general comments and observations in regards to raiding:

Upfront before a raid :

be sure to know the boss-fights - leverage the information on tankspot.com or youtube.com
be sure to be geared accordingly for the raid, e.g. Tanks should have a defense of 545. Good hint on your Gear and what you can run, you find at Hero Ranking
maintain your raid-availability in our RaidAvailibilty & Planning
install Ventrilo and configure the client accordingly.

Accepting an invitation:

if you want to be part of the raiding accept the raid request.
accepting a Raid-request means u accept - be there on time - ideally 15 mins before start time. If people will be not be on time or even absent, we have to exclude them from further raids.

During the raid:

please reduce the overall break times - AFK-Times should be close to 2min max in order to keep the raid going - just remember if you break for 2mins - 18mins of your joint raiders are also waiting....(don't get me to calculate a TCO/Business Case on this )
Please do not talk on Ventrilo about unrelated topics during or right before Bossfights... it is crucial to make it a success.

After the raid:

Celebrate the the win's and achievements with your raid, the guild and everyone else you like to share this !!!
